Kissing the Moon Transcending time, Space And all reality I once knew We ascend To a place where blue mystical mountains Meet heaven And kiss the moon. And there we sit In a lush garden Under the primordial tree of creation And through her magnificent branches Stars sparkle and sing Our eternal Song I am Adam And you are Eve And here we are once again under the tree This time around, Will we choose wisdom? Again eating from the forbidden fruit That our ancestors ate from Long ago Will we return to the deserts of our past, Where white doves sail under endless purple skies Where stars shine too bright and too many to count Each glowing with deep wisdom. Or will we stay right here, Under this tree Hands reaching up to the sky Through webs of connection That interweave our souls And realize that just by sitting under this tree Through dreams and memories unfolding In each moment we can be everywhere And arrive To that familiar place Where the earth meets heaven, And kisses the moon. We were swimming, floating rather In shallow water Rocks hurting the soles of my feet You pick me up, Hold me in your arms we were swimming, floating rather cradling me like a baby still floating in the Mediterranean water You look at me and say, “You know, I love you” Then, to make sure I understand and because you couldn't believe it yourself, you softly whisper to my cheek “I love you” for the first time in a long time I am absolutely calm We were swimming, floating rather |
