About Olah-la

Olah-la is a contemporary, online meeting place for writers, artists, volunteers, and people interested in or connected to Israel. Olah-la was started by an Olah-Chadasha (new immigrant to Israel) who wanted to found an English and French arena for Israeli-related poetry and prose, as well as offer the latest and greatest volunteer and charity opportunities in Israel. Finally, the Olah-la team travels to art-markets (shuks) around Israel in search of the most unique and beautiful art and jewelry produced by Israeli artisans. We hope you will browse through these products and find something you love. Your purchase helps these artists and designers make a living and continue to produce their works, as well as counter-act the current boycott of Israeli goods that is taking place in many countries around the world.

We are excited to announce that Olah-la is being re-designed and upgraded to a better, more user-friendly format. This upgrade will take some time. Until then, we are accepting submissions of poetry, prose, art, volunteer testimonials, and Israeli creations. For our submission guidelines, click here
